The Fairfield Inn is located at the end of the Main Street strip which has multiple shops and restaurants within a very short walk. There is ample free parking and the hotel is surrounded by the bay on 3 sides which makes for a spectacular view. We were warmly greeted at the front desk that was situated in a beautifully decorated lobby. We asked about local restaurants and were provided with fliers for 7 different restaurants along with an Island travel guide. The room was not large but more than adequate for the two of us. There's a flat screen tv, pillow top king size bed, view of the left water inlet, glass wall shower with door, desk, and ample closet/drawer space. There's a digital thermostat on the wall that controls the heating/ac unit and a master switch that controls all of the major equipment in the room. With exception of the howling winds and the noisy ducks that are part of being on the bay, it was an incredible experience after a long exciting day. The fitness center downstairs even has equipment that has built-in televisions.
The Breakfast in the morning was more than expected. There was pork and turkey sausage patties, eggs, muffins, bagels, Belgian waffle makers, coffee center with International Coffee creamers, cereal, apple/orange juice machine, milk, hard-boiled eggs, and more.
We had a great time and recommend this hotel to everyone. The only improvement would've been a visit during pool season where you could swim with a view of the Bay!

This was our 25th wedding anniversary trip that couldn't have been better. It started with my husband ordering flowers for our room. They were beautifully done by a local florist. We also noticed champagne and candies with a postcard in the room from a couple ladies on the staff. The staff was also very helpful recommending several restaurants for dinner. When we decided on Bills, the staff called the restaurant for our reservation. She informed them it was our anniversary so we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert! We were hoping to go to a great local creamery for ice cream afterwards but were too full from dinner after our free dessert. We would highly recommend the Comfort Suites if anyone is going to Chincoteague. The only downside was we didn't make time to enjoy the pool. We did, however, enjoy the chairs overlooking the back bay. It was beautiful and peaceful out back. Thanks for making our weekend even more special by everyone's wonderful hospitality. Some things can't be taught and come natural to people which were evident in the staff. Thanks again! The Sullivans (of 25 years!)
My stay at Days Inn was for 4 nights / 5 days. I wanted to get a room with a Queen bed, but the only availability was for a room with 2 Double beds. Well, as it turned out I was VERY pleased with my accomodations. I used one bed for my duffle bag and PC . The beds were SO COMFORTABLE , and the AC worked great !!! Almost to great to the point of me having to turn it up cause I was freezing... lol The breakfast was wonderfull, and the coffee was delicious !! The weather during my stay was a comfortable 72 - 75 degrees, and the evenings were cool. I wanted to extend my stay an additional 2 nites , due to the fact I was on vacation for the entire week. I DO intend on going back there again. The staff was very helpfull . The beach was just up the road from the hotel. Very convienant !!! Thank you for your Hospitality ;-)

I work at Wallops Island a few times a year and enjoy staying at the Lighthouse Inn, it is the closest hotel to Nasa and is very comfortable and within walking distance to Bill's restaurant. You can park your car and you don't have to drive again until you check out. The hotel is close to everything in downtown Chincoteague.
Waterside Inn provides great rooms with balcony settings that are a peaceful vacation spot in themselves. The staff do a great job of taking care of the guests, including very good advice about the area and what's available in the area. The outside appearance of the inn features some really impressive flower gardens all around the area. We would recommend this resort to anyone.
