There are not enough stars to accurately rate this hotel. But please don't book there. I am planning on
coming back and I don't want to stand in line (so many lines!) to make a reservation.
I love Firenza, and I love this hotel just as much.

Le personnel est très sympathique et l'hôtel propre et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est limite, comme le pain italien.
La chambre était convenable mais la douche ridiculement petite (Avec 15 kg de plus, impossible de s'y faufiler!)
Beautiful hotel in Florence. It's close to the train station in a quiet area. It's within walking distance to the piazzas, but it's a little bit of a walk, maybe an extra 10 mins walk.
Rooms are large, clean and ornate.
Great hotel especially for the price.
If it wasn't for the staff and friendly manager I would have went completely nuts.
We were there on our honeymoon and having read the reviews and seen the photos we were quite excited. But sadly, upon our arrival to room 33, our dreams were shattered.
A shambles of a room that you wouldn't even give to your dog. I am six foot 5 and the door is about six foot 2. Also it must be about 12 feet wide. The bed was a fold down bed and the slanty beams didn't help the 8 times I hit my head. Also the chap in room 34, he had issues as I could hear all of em in the toilet. Soundproof walls? Sadly not.
We then moved to room 25, which was like trading in a skoda fabia and getting a 5 series BMW. Sadly no balcony, fireplace as stated that the rooms have. The bed was TERRIBLE, being a newly wed couple, sadly the only thing we were doing was sleeping!! It was a great size however very creaky and noisy.
Breakfast was standard but good enough. Location was great , a two minute walk to the centre and 5 minutes from the train station.
No lift sadly means that if you don't go to the gym regularly, carrying your cases is an issue, although when staff are about, they gladly help you.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the hotel as the room 33 was just a complete insult to put us in. I heard problems from many other guests and also the fact that there is no English BBC channel on the TV, despite the hotel insisting there is.
The staff were great, especially Mr Josev.

I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so...
The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David).
You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small.
Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep.
All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap.
Enjoy your trip!!!
Excellent location and very clean. We had a couple of small issues - toilet wouldn't flush and the safe directions were confusing. The management looked after this immediately. We were very pleased overall.
Very nice hotel close to the center. The staff was nice. However, if you are planning to wash your clothes by hand in the sink, they will charge you something like 5 euros for the water. At least that what the sign in the room said.
